While other companies provide autumn-inspired beverages such as pumpkin spice lattes and apple crisp macchiatos, Burger King is offering fast-food enthusiasts a frozen variant of a favored summer drink.
The establishment known for the Whopper has introduced its new Frozen Pink Lemonade (140 calories per medium), characterized by the fast-food chain as “deliciously refreshing and sweet, yet tart.” This new beverage will be accessible nationwide until supplies are exhausted.
Burger King has collaborated with Paramount and MTV to enhance the anticipation for this new beverage. The Frozen Pink Lemonade will serve as the official frozen beverage during this year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
According to Pat O’Toole, Chief Marketing Officer at Burger King North America, this is the sixth year of collaboration between Burger King and Paramount and MTV. This marks the brand’s inaugural product inspired by the awards ceremony.
“We are thrilled to be the frozen beverage of the VMAs—a drink that embodies the same coolness and vibrancy as the event itself, and I cannot envision a more suitable platform to present our new drink to music and BK enthusiasts,” O’Tool stated in a news release.
Burger King is enhancing the appeal of their new frozen beverage by providing it at no cost through several methods. Until September 11, coinciding with the VMAs debut, Burger King is offering Royal Perks members a complimentary small Frozen Pink Lemonade with any purchase of a minimum of $1 via the Burger King app. The fast-food brand is providing this beverage at two distinct occasions.
On September 8, attendees of the VMAs Block Party at Domino Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, can sample the new beverage from 12 to 5 p.m. Guests may acquire iridescent Burger King crowns and a co-branded giveaway from Burger King and MTV, available only while supplies last. Three days hence, complimentary Frozen Pink Lemonades will be offered at the VMAs in UBS Arena, New York.
At the live awards ceremony, Burger King and MTV will debut a 75-second short film inspired by the new frozen beverage. This film will showcase multi-platinum, Grammy award-winning Sean Paul and the internationally acclaimed performers, Les Twins.
This summer, Burger King introduces more than just the Frozen Pink Lemonade. In July, the chain introduced its Fiery Menu, featuring five spicy items: Fiery Strawberry and Sprite (190 calories per medium), Fiery Mozzarella Fries (450 calories per 8-piece order), Fiery Bacon Whopper (810 calories), Fiery Chicken Fries (260 calories per 8-piece order), and Fiery Bacon Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwich (930 calories).
