This week marked the official start of fall, and with the arrival of cooler weather, there’s nothing better than enjoying some hearty, comforting comfort food. This ready-to-eat stew has been a hit with customers in the past, and now it’s available at Costco, right in time for the arrival of cozy season.
In an Instagram post this week, the Costco fan account @costcohotfinds revealed that the Irish Stew from Ruprecht is once again available at the store. Served in a flavorful brown gravy, this prepackaged dish has slow-cooked USDA Choice beef, potatoes, carrots, and pearl onions. The stew just takes 15 minutes to prepare, and according to @costcohotfinds, it “freezes beautifully.” You can find it in the refrigerated part of the store.
This isn’t the first time Costco has sold Ruprecht Irish Stew; the hearty stew was a favorite among customers the last time it was available. Therefore, the fact that customers were overjoyed to hear that it is returning is hardly surprising.
When cooked sous vide, meat and veggies retain all their natural juices and become incredibly soft. We made it often throughout the winter and fall because it is a family favorite. Costco Hot Finds captioned the post.
I love this as a fast dinner. “All you need is a roll and salad,” said one other shopper who also shops at Costco.
Fans can save $5 on Ruprecht Irish Stew at Costco until October 20th, according to an announcement by @costcohotfinds. This can be your chance to finally give the product a try if you’ve been wanting to for a while.
The Ruprecht Irish Stew’s availability varies, as it does with many Costco items. Before making the journey, interested parties should contact their neighborhood warehouse to make sure it is in stock.
There have been a lot of exciting new arrivals at Costco recently, and the Ruprecht Irish Stew is just one of them. A large new Mixed Berry Streusel Cheesecake stuffed with a variety of fruits—cherries, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries—was introduced earlier this week by the pastry section of the shop. Customers were raving about the new bakery item in no time, and they were racing to their nearest Costco to get their hands on it.
Mixed Berry Streusel Cheesecake was the subject of a Reddit thread in which a Costco customer cursed their diet.
