McDonald’s is making every effort to maintain novelty and excitement for its consumers this autumn. Shortly after introducing the highly anticipated Chicken Big Mac in the United States, the burger conglomerate is offering its patrons a novel sweet, caffeinated beverage.
Beginning today, October 30, McDonald’s locations across the country are offering a new Dulce de Leche Frappé, with 630 calories per medium cup. The drink consists of the chain’s distinctive Caramel Frappé base, a touch of coffee, and a luxurious dulce de leche-flavored syrup. In quintessential McDonald’s style, the beverage is adorned with a layer of airy whipped cream and crisp caramel fragments.
McDonald’s currently provides its McCafé Frappé, a chilled, sweet, blended beverage, in mocha and caramel varieties. This is the inaugural occasion that McDonald’s has introduced a Frappé with dulce de leche flavors in the United States, although the chain previously released a Dulce de Leche Caramel Shake for a limited period in 2013. Dulce de leche is a rich, caramelized milk confection that is highly favored throughout Latin America.
Although McDonald’s has recently unveiled the Dulce de Leche Frappé, customers have been observing its presence in locations for some days. A TikToker, @lifeasvivian, evaluated it in a video earlier this week and rated it a “10 out of 10.”
Customers should not delay in visiting their local McDonald’s to acquire a Dulce de Leche Frappé, as it will be available for a limited duration and only while stocks last.
Meanwhile, McDonald’s patrons should remain vigilant for the various other intriguing recent additions to the brand. The Chicken Big Mac (700 calories) remains accessible currently; however, similar to the Dulce de Leche Frappé, its availability is restricted and contingent upon stock. The uncommon chicken sandwich substitutes standard beef patties with tempura-battered chicken patties, while retaining all components of a classic Big Mac (590 calories): special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions on a sesame seed bun.
McDonald’s seasonal Pumpkin and Crème Pie (280 calories) is available in certain locations following its reintroduction in August to various locales, including Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, Dallas, and Nashville, Tennessee. The pie consists of two layers of pumpkin and vanilla cream filling encased in a pastry shell.
