Wendy’s Just Replaced Its Triple Berry Frosty With a Classic Flavor

In recent years, Wendy’s has introduced a number of intriguing new Frosty varieties; in June, for example, the chain debuted a Triple Berry Frosty, a flavor that has never been offered before. Now, the burger behemoth has added another Frosty flavor to its lineup, bringing back a fan favorite that had been absent for a while.

I agree with that. Returning after a brief hiatus in March, Wendy’s currently serves the 310-calorie classic Vanilla Frosty. There is still the 310-calorie classic Chocolate Frosty and the 310-calorie Vanilla Frosty at Wendy’s, but the triple berry variant is no longer available. Unfortunately, Wendy’s Triple Berry Frosty is going away for the time being, but fans may always hope for a return run in the future.

One of the five initial menu items when the first Wendy’s opened in 1969 was the Chocolate Frosty, which had a spoonable consistency ranging from milkshake to soft-serve ice cream. After 2006 saw the introduction of the Vanilla Frosty to Wendy’s menus, the next Frosty innovation to hit American shelves was the Strawberry Frosty in 2022.

Aside from the original Triple Berry Frosty, Wendy’s has introduced new varieties such as Peppermint, Pumpkin Spice, Orange Dreamsicle, and Triple Berry Frosty. With the introduction of each new seasonal variety, the chain has been systematically removing the Vanilla Frosty from the rotation, much to the disappointment of its devoted fan base. Some have even wondered why Wendy’s hasn’t made the dessert a permanent fixture.

A customer expressed their frustration in a Reddit thread regarding the reappearance of the Vanilla Frosty this week, writing, “Don’t understand why the vanilla one comes and goes anyway.”

At the Wendy’s in central New Jersey where I live, a small Vanilla Frosty costs $2.29 right now, but of course, prices can change.

There are a lot of cool things happening at Wendy’s right now, and the Vanilla Frosty is just one of them. There have been whispers floating around online for the past week suggesting that next month Wendy’s will introduce a Krabby Patty Meal inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants. “We can’t confirm what’s coming down Wendy’s innovation pipeline,” the chain responded in response to Eat This, Not That!’s inquiry over the claims. However, they did say that they are “always looking to bring fans new menu items inspired by their cravings.”
